Week 1 - Startup Spotlights

Startup spotlights

In Week 1, 40+ fast-growing, high-impact startups will pitch their roles to you over Zoom.

Our Startups

Our startups work within tech, sustainability, the arts, health, consumer, finance, and much more. From tackling homelessness, to building crypto infrastructure, to social mobility, to extending life expectancy, these are exciting companies making real impact.

Ask Questions

During the spotlights, the companies will have 10 minutes to pitch their roles, and you'll have 5 minutes to ask any questions you like. Dig into the company culture, quiz them about their business, and pose questions directly to founders before interviewing!

Choose your startups

After hearing from the founders, you'll choose your favourite startups to interview with

Weeks 2 to 4 - Go Straight to Interview

Interview Training

In Week 2, we'll deliver two days of online training to help you smash the interview. From answering those tricky interview questions, to creating the perfect case study, to upskilling in excel - we'll teach you everything you need to succeed.

Meet the startups

We’ll introduce you to your favourite startups, and they’ll take over the interview process from there. The interview period takes 2-3 weeks, and we’ll be there to update you on the process, answer your questions, and give you advice.

Get an Offer

Most startups will give you an offer within the first few weeks of being on the programme. We'll then invite you to our Startup 101 training, covering everything you need to know to help you excel on the role. From professional communication and prioritisation, to problem solving and fundamental startup knowledge.

Week 4 onwards - Join our community

Network

When you start your role, you'll join our active alumni network on Slack, a place for you to connect with and support one another as you navigate the startup world.

Mentorship

You'll get matched with an industry mentor, and receive ongoing 1:1 mentorship to guide you throughout your work life - whether you’re thinking about broaching a tricky conversation, asking for a salary increase, or making your next career move.

Socials

We'll run socials throughout the year to give you a chance to meet the community in person. Think summer parties, pasta making, bowling, supper clubs and much more!

Founder’s Associate

Founder’s Associates are generalists who work directly with a startup founder on strategic initiatives, marketing, operations, sales and much more. This role is an exceptional opportunity for anyone keen to quickly climb the ranks and form part of the senior leadership team within a couple of years.

Marketing Associate

Marketing is about understanding the customer, and reaching the right people in the most engaging way. If you're people-focused and love thinking creatively, you might like a marketing role.

Operations Executive

Operators form the backbone of the company, making sure it runs efficiently and with a solid strategy. If you're super organised and practical, operations could be a great fit for you.

Business Analyst

Analysts excel at crunching the data to find unique ways to improve products, make forecasts, and identify operational issues. The best Analysts can relate the detail to the bigger picture.

Something else?

Each cohort has a real variety of roles, so you’ll definitely find something that suits you. You might even be surprised about which role takes your fancy when you start hearing from the startup founders and teams. Our startup spotlights (where you hear directly from teams and founders over Zoom) demystify roles that can often be a little confusing when they’re written in a job description.

We help you find the right startup and the right role for you.
